If they had 10 stars we would give it to Mark and Kai. Amazing host amazing camper and just the most sublime scenery. We couldn’t have asked for more and we loved every second of our trip. Thanks Mark you are great and we didn’t have a bad word to say :) we will be back again as soon as we can
Kai is our '04 plate VW T5 (T30 LWB) Campervan available for you to rent and tour Scotland! Fully covered by RAC breakdown recovery and has all equipment onboard to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. We have a universal driver's insurance in place from May meaning you will be covered for driving included in the price! We will be delighted to meet you at the rendezvous at Hermiston Gait. (Edinburgh Park tram/train station).
Kai is a great camper, very comfortable to drive. Folks love to take him off to Skye, Argyll, Western Highlands and islands like Arran, Islay, Mull, and The Outer Hebrides. He is really set up for couples / close friends as you will be sharing a rock and roll bed in close proximity. He has fridge and sink, and plenty of utilities onboard. LED internal cabin lighting helps you find your way at night. We supply bedding and portaloo for an additional fee. NB There is no bathroom. Warm and wet weather clothing is handy. There is a little electric heater onboard you can use when hooked up on campsites or if wild-camping, you can with limited use, turn the cooker on to heat the van a little. He has a Radio and cd player with Bluetooth and USB connector. You can charge your devices whilst the van is moving. He has maps onboard too and I can help you with holiday suggestions. The deposit / bond is handled by Camplify when you book thanks.
2 people / couples are ideal. Kai DOES NOT have a flip lid for the taller among you just to make you taller folks aware. He has four seat belts so if you wish to bring a two man tent for other adults or kids then that is up to you but it is a possibility. We can supply a 3 man tent if required too! He has a leisure battery onboard too to power the lighting and other accessories.
In Scottish summer I'd highly suggest you buy Smidge insect repellent between May and September, as well as midge nets for the head! After September this will not be necessary. Also bring sun-cream and towels in summer season. Please note if you choose to book with us you will be asked to send photocopies of passports and drivers' licences for insurance purposes as well as supplying proof of address thanks. I will also need mobile phone numbers.
Kai has a charger for your mobile phones whilst driving and you can also listen to music from your phone via the usb cable into the radio so please bring your mobile phones and listening devices.
Every need has been thought about and catered for.
